With over 25 years experience working with non-profits, grassroots groups, and cooperatively owned enterprises, Jamila is expert at working with small start-up organizations as well as mature organizations on the precipice of change. Grounded in the principal of sankofa (from the Twi language of the Akan people in Ghana, meaning go back and get it), Jamila works to support organizations in understanding how their past informs current conditions and might direct their future vision. Her organizational consulting services are most often collaboratively determined with her clients while embracing iterative and emergent co-creation processes along the way. Jamila's services typically involve aspects of organizational development, training and education and project management guided by values of justice, equity, and belonging. All fees are charged according to a sliding scale based on organizational budget.
